Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Palet (“we”, “us”) is a color-palette tool at usepalet.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it minimal on purpose.
1. Who we are
Palet is operated as the “Palet” service. For any privacy question, contact us at support@usepalet.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account info. When you sign in, we receive your email address (via a magic link, or from your Google account if you use Google sign-in — where we also receive basic Google profile info such as your name). We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Content you create. Palettes you choose to save — i.e. lists of color values (hex codes) — linked to your account.
- Technical. A session token stored in your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in.
Images stay on your device. When you extract colors from an image, all processing happens in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service — sign you in, and save and sync your palettes across devices.
- To send account-related email (such as your sign-in magic link).
- To respond to you if you contact support.
We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
4. Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to run Palet:
- Supabase — authentication and database (where your account and saved palettes live).
- Google — “Sign in with Google” (only if you choose it).
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- An email provider — to deliver sign-in links from support@usepalet.com.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and saved palettes until you remove them. You can delete any saved palette from within the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@usepalet.com and we’ll take care of it.
6. Security
Your palettes are protected by database row-level security, so your account can only ever read or write its own data. All traffic is served over HTTPS.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use your browser’s local storage to hold your sign-in session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Children
Palet is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
